Salvation

Salvation is God’s gracious gift to you through Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, “For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, CSB). God calls every person to turn from sin and turn to Him—“He has commanded all people everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30, CSB). To be saved, you must recognize your need for a Savior, repent (turn) from your sin, believe that Jesus died and rose again for you, and personally confess Him as Lord, because “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved… For with the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation” (Romans 10:9–10, CSB). If you have questions about being saved—or about what to do now that you are saved—we invite you to take your next steps: speak with one of our pastors, come forward to publicly profess Christ in a service, follow the Lord in baptism, become part of our church family through membership, grow through discipleship, and find your place to serve.
